HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) on December 3 started its nationwide recall campaign for two models imported and distributed by TMV: Land Cruiser Prado and Hiace.
Some 126 vehicles were affected: 61 Hiace units and 65 Land Cruiser Prado units, produced from May to October 2013. TMV will check the valve springs and will install new ones on the affected vehicles.
TMV said it will send an invitation letter or contact the affected vehicles' owners to provide details on the recall campaign. The owners can also find further information on the website www.toyota.com.vn, or they can contact TMV's agent directly.
TMV noted that the examination and replacement of valve springs will be free of charge and will take about five hours per vehicle.
In November 2012, TMV conducted a recall of 5,299 units of the Corolla Altis and Vios to check and repair faulty power-window master switches. — VNS
