DA NANG (Biz Hub) — TCIE Viet Nam Co. Ltd has announced a discount of nearly 10 per cent to local residents on cars manufactured in the city between March 29 and May 31.
The company, part of Malaysia's Tan Chong Motor Group, said the special promotion price will apply to the Nissan Sunny XV Automatic Transmission model, which will sell at VND540.5 million (US$25,700) instead of VND588 million ($28,000). This price includes the 10 per cent Value Added Tax.
Meanwhile, the XL Manual Transmission model will sell at VND493.2 million ($23,500) instead of VND538 million ($25,600).
The US$40-million automobile plant with an annual capacity of 6,500 vehicles, which started operations in its factory in the Hoa Khanh industrial zone in Da Nang's Lien Chieu District last year, is the first and only Nissan Sunny assembly unit in central Viet Nam.
In the immediate future, the plant will assemble Nissan's popular Sunny model, with 2,000 units rolling out in the first year. — VNS
