New car models to debut at Vietnam Motor Show 2013

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Vietnam Motor Show 2013, the most important event of the year for automobile manufacturers and traders, will open on Wednesday in HCM City.

It's expected to help drive sales in the Vietnamese automobile market as tens of new models will be on display.

The new models represent various sectors, from luxury and medium cars such as the BMW 4-Series Coupe, Infinity QX80, Honda Accord 2013, Mercedes-Benz-Class and Nissan Teana 2013 to sedans such as the Mitsubishi Mirage and Ford Fiesta 2014.

The show will attract eight members from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association: Ford, GM, Hino, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Suzuki, Toyota and Vinastar.

Seven import brand names from official suppliers as Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Lexus, Renault, Nissan and Infiniti will all attend the event.

This year will mark the first time that Lexus and Infiniti have taken part in the show. Lexus is a luxury brand name of Toyota, with models worth billions of dong such as the RX350, GX460, LX570 and ES250, meanwhile Nissan's high-end outfit Infinity will have models of its QX70 and QX80 cars on display.

Land Rover will introduce import cars including the Range Rover Evoque, all-new Range Rover and the all-new Range Rover Sport.

The show expects to feature the world's top luxury Audi models including the R8 Spyder 5.2 V10 quattro and the R8 Coupe 5.2 V10 quattro. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz will bid to keep its leading position in Viet Nam's luxury car sector by displaying ten high-end models at the event. — VNS
