HA NOI (Biz Hub) — GM Viet Nam introduced the limited-edition Chevrolet Spark Zest Automatic Transmission on May 28 at a price of VND392 million (US$18.6 million).
The US-invested automaker announced the launch of the 995 cc engine car, imprinted with Chevrolet's signature dual-port grille up front, with a maximum power output of 67 hp at 6,400 rpm.
Developed for city streets, the Spark Zest has a tight turning radius of 5 metres and a mileage of 5.1 litres per 100 kilometres. Despite belonging to the compact segment, the car comes with four airbags and anti-lock brakes, which usually are equipped in luxury and larger vehicles, GM Viet Nam released in a statement.

The Ha Noi-based company kicked off its largest ever test drive in Vietnam last week, starting from May 20 to June 29, across the country.
In the northern region, the programme will be held in Ha Noi, Ha Long, Cam Pha and Ninh Binh, as well as in Thanh Hoa. In the middle region, the programme will be held in Nghe An, Hue and Da Nang; and in the southern region, the programme will be held in HCM City, Binh Duong and Can Tho.
GM Viet Nam will bring every model of Chevrolet in this test drive, including Spark, Aveo, Cruze, Captiva, Colorado and Orlando. Reportedly, the company also has made several simulated models for customers to test the various features of the cars. Nine cars will be used in the test drive.
GM Viet Nam, which has an annual assembly capacity of 30,000 vehicles, expected about 2,000 customers who will be able to experience Chevrolet products through the roadshow. — VNS
