Ha Noi (Biz Hub)— Michelin will launch a programme checking the tyres of about 5,000 cars across Viet Nam in an effort to help reduce road accident for drivers.
Titled "Right tyre care for your road safety", the one-month programme will start on October 10 for the fourth consecutive years.
The initiative also aims to help drivers of cars with fewer then 7-seats to improve their driving behaviour and responsibilities toward road safety. The campaign will be deployed at traffic-dense locations such as supermarkets, car parks and high buildings in the cities of Ha Noi, Hai Phong, HCM City, Da Nang, Binh Duong and Vung Tau.
Campaign activities include tyre pressure checks (inflate or deflate), a tyre tread depth check, consultancies for drivers on tyre knowledge and the right tyre selection for specific conditions, and how to maintain tyres to get the best benefits for their driving, said Michelin general director Lionel Cadeau.-- VNS
