A 2024 Car of the Year programme has officially opened its voting portal on March 6 in Hà Nội. The program will run from March 6th to March 29th, with the consumer voting period lasting to March 16.
This year, the programme aims to comprehensively identify vehicle version segments based on market needs, and has introduced changes to the scoring and voting rules.
One of the notable changes in this year's programme is the scoring criteria. The programme organisers have refreshed the scoring system to better reflect the practical values of the participating cars in the Vietnamese automobile industry. This is intended to support consumer shopping decisions and provide useful insights for the industry.
The cars participating in the programme this year will have prices ranging from less than VNĐ500 million to nearly VNĐ3 billion. The car segments are divided based on selling price and clear form. The segments include low-slung cars such as sedans, hatchbacks and those with ground clearance less than 160mm. There are also high-chassis vehicles like CUVs (Crossover Utility Vehicles), SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles), MPVs (Multi-Purpose Vehicles) and pickup trucks. — VNS
