Vietnam Motorbike Festival to hold design contests

Vietnam Ideas Challenge will be an interesting playground for people who are passionate about motorbike designing and decoration.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Vietnam Motorbike Festival 2014, which will be held in HCM City on July 26 and 27, will organise several exciting activities for bikers.

Well known brand names such as Ducati, KTM and Benelli will participate in the event. Ducati will showcase the Desmosedici GP14 model which is being used for racing at the 2014 MotoGP.

During the festival, the Vietnam Ideas Challenge will be an interesting playground for people who are passionate about motorbike designing and decoration. It aims to award motorbike models which have been fine-tuned with new and unique ideas.

The winner will get the ‘best of the best' award

The event organiser will hold two competitions, namely Art of Speed and Pimp My Ride. The Art of Speed contest seeks to discover beautiful motorbike models which have been fine-tuned by motorbike lovers. The participants will have to make a commitment not to violate copyright as well as other regulations related to Viet Nam's laws.

The winner will get the ‘best of the best' award based on criteria such as design idea, the style of fine-tuning, body kit, graphic design and accessories.

Gymkhana stunts which will be performed.

The second contest, Pimp My Ride, seeks the most unique design ideas of the year. Based on the criteria of concept and design sketch, the organiser will select the best entry and then help its designer to connect with producers who are in need of good designs.

The images of the models will be posted on the Vietnam Motorbike Festival's fan page. Based on the number of likes they receive, 20 motorbikes will be selected for the final round and will be put on display at the festival's Art of Speed area.

There will be other activities such as gymkhana stunts which will be performed by Thaistunters from Thailand, Ghost from India and local groups. — VNS
