Now on its third year, PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2017 is considered as the most prestigious industry event of the country’s property calendar

Vietnam Property Awards – a part of the prestigious PropertyGuru Asia Property Award series

In recent years the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards have played an important role in elevating the standards of the Asian real estate industry. With the country awards in Vietnam debuting three years ago, the local property sector’s achievements are showcased to international audiences.

The Vietnam Property Awards are a professionally-run event and assessed by an independent panel of judges comprising the industry’s leading experts  in development, architecture, design and consultancy. The programme has received many quality nominations  in the country, coming from various developers, industry professionals and the general public.

Kohler presents the 2017 edition, supported by co-sponsors Malloca and An Cuong Wood, and official property portal Batdongsan.com.vn. The number of competition categories have been expanded to 31, a sign of vibrant property market.

Mr. Terry Blackburn, Asia Property Awards founder and managing director, said: “Vietnam’s property market has developed impressively in recent years. We’ve seen outstanding luxury, high-end and affordable quality projects enter the Awards in the first two years, and we expect to receive the same reception from developers this year. The Vietnam Property Awards has become one of Asia Property Awards’ biggest annual events based on attendance and participation of developers and we are proud to support the continued progress of the Vietnamese property sector.”

Vietnam Property Awards – the stamp of approval from the industry’s experts

Known for having strict judging criteria, the Awards is supervised by BDO, the world’s fifth largest network of accounting, tax and advisory firm, which has representation in 151 territories with almost 60,000 people. BDO is also appointed as long-term judging supervisor of Asia Property Awards and has maintained a close partnership for more than a decade now.

The process is simple, fair and transparent – BDO reviews each completed entry form to check if the entrant meets the published criteria. Representatives from the firm also join selected site visits to ensure that procedures are correctly followed. Finally, BDO approves all Winner and Highly Commend results from the Judges and presents the results to the organisers.

Because of BDO’s extensive experience in monitoring competitions and award systems around the world, entrants are guaranteed that the Vietnam Property Awards are the most credible stamp of approval of the local real estate industry.

In addition to the various categories in Vietnam, this year there will be special awards for Best Green Development, Special Recognition in CSR and Special Recognition in Sustainable Development, chosen by the judging panel. A special award for Vietnam Real Estate Personality of the Year will be selected by the editors of Property Report magazine.

Developers, as well as the general public, are invited to keep submitting nominations until 24 March and official entries from developers are accepted until 31 March. The official shortlist will be revealed in late April 2017 and the black-tie gala dinner is set to take place in InterContinental Asiana Saigon on 2 June. Top winners from the Vietnam will compete in the regional grand finals at the 7th Asia Property Awards in Singapore in November.
