HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Techmart Hanoi 2016, a technology and equipment exhibition, opened on September 28.

The exhibition, which is on till October 1, is organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ha Noi People's Committee to develop the science and technology market of the capital city.

Based on the spirit of linking integration and development, this year's event bridges research and development with production and business, promotes the commercialisation of research results and encourages transactions related to technology and advanced equipment.

Speaking at the opening ceremony last night, Nguyen Duc Chung, chairman of the committee, said Techmart Hanoi 2016 was a practical activity which contributed to the construction and development of the science and technology market and linked scientists with enterprises for applying advanced and new technology.

As a national scale techmart, the exhibition attracted nearly 400 enterprises, while featuring more than 1,500 products and equipment, software solutions, science products and services in the fields of information and technology, as well as electronics, automation, transport and preservation technology, along with high-tech agriculture and environmental treatment technologies.

At the opening ceremony, four technology transition contracts were signed worth VND10 billion (nearly US$450,000). — VNS
