HA NOI (Biz Hub) — E-commerce gateway Shipchung.vn will reduce transport charges by 15 to 25 per cent for products delivered by Noi Bai Express and Trading Joint Stock Company (Netco), booked through the portal.

Products must be sent from Ha Noi and HCM City to the centres of provinces and cities nationwide from August 10 to September 9.

Nguyen Duc The, General Director of Netco, told Buu Dien (Post) newspaper that the company has recognised the potential of e-commerce from 2007 and decided to focus on this market. He said that the promotion programme was aimed at making shopping more convenient.

Shipchung.vn, owned by PeaceSoft Solutions Corporation, was officially launched in October 2012. The gateway allows e-commerce websites to integrate a function of calculating delivery transport fees with information on weight of products, address of receivers and added services (if so). Individuals can also ask for delivery of their products on the website without any integration.

After paying the bills (including transport fees) through a digital wallet on nganluong.vn, transporters will receive goods from sellers and deliver it to buyers.

Shipchung.vn has co-operated with more than 10 local leading transport firms such as Vietnam Express Mail Service Company, Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation and Vietnam Posts Corporation.

In July, a mobile application of shipchung.vn was released on the iOS operating system.

Netco, established on March 2003, operates in the postal sector as a document carrier, domestic cargo and international services. — VNS
