Technology company Poco has launched the M4 Pro 5G, a mid-range mobile phone targeted at gamers.

It is available in Viet Nam starting at VND5.49 million (US$240) at the official store on Shopee, Hoang Ha stores and other retailers.

It offers a powerful video streaming and gaming system, a 90Hz refresh rate display and upgraded 33W pro fast charging.

“M-series is undeniably the go-to phone for young users who seek the most value from their phones, and we’ve outdone their expectations with the latest Poco M4 Pro 5G,” Kevin Qiu, head of Poco Global, said.

“[It] is undoubtedly the best entertainment-ready phone that we’ve introduced in this series.”

The phone is equipped with a Mediatek dimensity 810 chipset, which the company said is a class-leading octacore processor that makes for a massive leap in performance from the previous generation.

The battery lasts longer even when powering two impressive Cortex-A76 cores that run at 2.4GHz, six ARM CortexA55 efficiency cores running at 2.0GHz, and a contemporary ARM Mali-G57 MC2 graphics card at 1,068MHz, it added.

The phone could prove to be a flagship-rivalling device with its integrated 5G modem1 and support for dual 5G standby, UFS 2.2 technology for faster sequential write speeds and superior multitasking capabilities.

The M4 Pro 5G comes in three colors, Poco yellow, power black and cool blue.

Poco, born out of Xiaomi Corporation three years, has entered more than 35 global markets since first releasing its POCO F1 in 2018.

As of July it had shipped over 20 million phones globally, including 13 million in 2021 alone. — VNS
