Gold price and condominium are the most searched terms in the financial and real estate sectors in the first three months of 2024, according to a recent report from Vietnamese-developed browser and search engine CốcCốc.

Users are especially interested in information that directly affects life, and the number of searches for gold price, condominium or the demand for cheap airline tickets tends to increase markedly, the report showed.

Search terms related to gold price increased by 64 per cent, while searches for condominium soared by 813 per cent. The gains were attributed to a skyrocketing trend of gold and apartment prices.

In the first quarter of 2024, the number of searches on technology topics also recorded an increase of 2.7 times.

Searches for AI applications in general increased slightly by 6 per cent over the previous quarter, with searches on ChatGPT alone up 16 per cent. AI video creation tools, such as Sora, are of particular interest to users, increasing by 15.62 times in search volume.

Travel topics continued to witness a strong growth of 2.8 times in search volume during the period, as the demand for returning home to celebrate Tết, or for relaxation tourism and spiritual tourism increased sharply.

With the increase in the ceiling of domestic airfares in the period of high travel demand, users actively sought cheap air tickets.

According to the report, the first months of the year are often seen as a golden time to change jobs. As a result, searches on the topic of jobs increased by 2.6 times, with the most searched keyword being recruitment.
