HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — The Saigon Thuong Tin Real Estate Trading and Service Co. (Sacomreal-S) has begun construction on its fourth property project this year, the Carillon 2, which will have a total of 224 low-priced apartments.

Located in HCM City's Tan Phu District, the project has total investment of VND229 billion (US$10.9 million). It is expected to be completed in June next year.

Sacomreal said all of the apartments have received registered buyers. In May, Sacomreal plans to also launch Carillon 3 and Jamona Riverside projects.

In HCM City, a total of 5,150 apartments were offered for sale in all segments in the first quarter of the year, according to CB Richard Ellis, a real estate consulting company.

The low-priced apartment segment saw an increase of 17 per cent compared to the same period last year. — VNS
