The HCM City housing market has been an upswing since the last quarter of last year with Saigon South Residences built by Phu My Hung Development Corporation, a developer with over 20 years of experience.

After three phases of sales, nearly 1,200 units have been sold, or 90 per cent of the total number of condos in four buildings.

With Saigon South Residences, Phu My Hung Development Corporation puts steps in the mid-price segment. Also, for the first time in Viet Nam the corporation has developed a project outside its Phu My Hung City Centre in District 7, HCM City.

Its entry into the segment has surprised experts and investors since the company has for a long time been well-known for developing high-end projects of international quality.

The sales of Saigon South Residences have attracted three prospective buyers for every apartment on offer.

Though targeting the mid-level segment, Saigon South Residences has been developed with the same amenities the corporation has built in its high-end projects during the 20 years it has been in Viet Nam.

A company spokesperson said the mid-level is always the key segment in the market, and demand is always high.

While amenities are the sole factor in estimating the attractiveness of a project, it is an important factor in deciding competitiveness.

His company has developed Saigon South Residences at the same level as its earlier projects despite the fact that it is outside Phu My Hung City Centre.

The project’s design is inspired by the idea of developing a resort residence for occupants.

Without traveling, residents can enjoy and experience resort spaces right at home after returning from a day of hard work.

The resort residence helps them save time and money, and, more importantly, relax and stress.

The company spokesperson said the amenities to be developed are decided carefully. They are based on people’s habits, culture, climate and management costs so that the price will not affect the project quality.

Though targeting the mid-level segment with affordable prices, Saigon South Residences will have many amenities and high-end services like in high-end projects.

In Saigon South Residences, there will 69 amenities and services – the biggest number in any project the company has developed so far.

Though targeting the mid-level segment with affordable prices, Saigon South Residences will have many amenities and high-end services like in high-end projects.

The corporation has developed many of them, like the multi-purpose sports yard, sculpture garden, water sports centre, 1,700sq.m swimming pool, kindergarten, and library, for the first time.

With these amenities, the project will be like a high-end resort.

Potential and high added-value

To meet the demand of people who did not have a chance to buy units in Saigon South Residences during the previous sales phases, the developer has decided to sell Block G on March 25.

In the fourth selling phase, Phu My Hung Development Corporation will sell condos in Block G with beautiful views.

Block G is the only stand-alone building in the project. It is surrounded by parks, library, garden, sculpture garden and tropical walking area where residents can relax, read and converse.

Block G is also the only building with a study room and library for book lovers. This is also a good place for children to do extra lessons after school or team work with neighbours.

A room for children where they can study together with their friends.

The developer said 60 per cent of the condos in Block G have two bedrooms and the rest have three. The payment plan is very flexible at 1 per cent a month along with interest-free home loans within a period of signing the contract until the condo handover.

The project will be completed by the end of 2019 when many infrastructure works in the south of HCM City will be finished.

With these works and the amenities inside the project, Saigon South Residences is expected to bring high value addition to buyers.
