The sixth annual PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards on October 9 honoured developers with outstanding achievements and prominent projects throughout Viet Nam.

Organised by PropertyGuru, Asia’s leading online property group, and presented by global brand Kohler, the awards celebrate the nation’s rising number of integrated township developments, master planned communities, mixed-use sites, and new urban areas.

Winning eight of its 12 nominations, Gamuda Land Vietnam won Viet Nam’s Best Developer of 2020 award. One of its stand-out projects, Celadon City, a massive development by Gamuda Land (HCM City) JSC in HCM City, won Best Masterplan Design.

SonKim Land Corporation also collected eight awards, including Best Boutique Developer. The most awarded project was The Crest Residence, the ultra-luxury condo development known as the second phase of SonKim Land’s mixed-use site Metropole Thu Thiem. The Crest Residence was named Best Condo Development (Vietnam) while another project in the vicinity, Metropole Thu Thiem Office Complex 1, won trophy for Best Office Development.

Last year’s Best Developer, Kien A Corporation, won all eight of its nominations, including the title for Best Lifestyle Developer. Its Lavila Island project alone won three awards, including the award for Best Housing Development (Vietnam).

The award for Vietnam Real Estate Personality of the Year was presented to Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong. The award was not chosen by the independent panel of judges, but instead by the editorial team of PropertyGuru Property Report, the official magazine of the Asia Property Awards.

After finding success with an instant-noodle business in Europe, Vuong established one of Viet Nam’s biggest property development companies and turned it into the country’s largest private conglomerate, Vingroup.

Kita Group Corporation JSC won the Best Breakthrough Developer and the Best Township Development awards for its Stella Mega City.

Ecopark Tourism and Trade Urban Area gained the title of Best Mega Township Development – one of five wins by Ecopark Corporation JSC, which won Best Mixed Use Developer.

Masterise Homes, a member of Masterise Group, was another big winner of the event, with six trophies backed by its Lumiere Riverside, Masteri Centre Point, and Masteri Waterfront projects.

The title of Best Industrial Development was presented to Rang Dong Textile Industrial Park (Aurora IP) of Cat Tuong Real Estate Group JSC.

The Viet Nam Singapore Industrial Park & Township Development JSC won six out of its eight nominations, including Best Residential Green Development for The Habitat Binh Duong, its venture with Sembcorp Gateway Development Co, Ltd.

A total of 85 awardees received trophies and Highly Commended certificates at the black-tie gala dinner and awards ceremony.
