HA NOI (Biz Hub) ― The capital's second-highest building, the 267-metre high Ha Noi Lotte Center, is expected to open on September 2, which is also commemorated as National Day.

Lotte Center Co. Ltd. General Director Lee Jong Kook made the announcement during a recent interview with VnEconomy online, adding that construction work has been completed and currently, interior facilities are being installed.

The 65-storey tower, offering apartment and shopping facilities, is located in Ba Dinh District and provides a total space of over 252,000 square metres. Its total investment has reached about US$500 million.

"Many organisations and businesses have decided to select us, and we are currently speeding up rent offers," stated Kook.

Lotte Mart is expected to open a trade complex in the building this year, as one of its plans to develop up to 60 shopping centres in Viet Nam by 2020.

Lotte Center and Lotte Mart are affiliates of the multinational Lotte Corporation, which has been in business in Viet Nam since 1996.

Lotte Mart now has six trade centres in the country and last year, the centres recorded revenues of VND2.54 trillion (US$120.95 million), an increase of 60 per cent over the previous year, according to VnEconomy. ― VNS
