Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO) will be officially authorised by the Vietnam Airlines Corporation to operate flights between Ha Noi and Dong Hoi city in central Quang Binh province from March 26.

Accordingly, VASCO, a subordinate company of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation, will be responsible for operating all the seven round trips on the Ha Noi-Dong Hoi route per week, using the 68-seat ATR-72 aircraft.

The transfer is part of the corporation’s plan to improve the operational efficiency of its subordinate airlines, Vietnam Airlines, VASCO and Jetstar Pacific Airlines, and expand VASCO’s business, thus meeting the increasing demands for travel by passengers.

Vietnam Airlines has so far transferred HCM City-Rach Gia-Phu Quoc, HCM City-Phu Quoc-Can Tho, and Ha Noi – Dien Bien flights to VASCO.

Air routes between Ha Noi–HCM City–Tuy Hoa, and HCM City–Chu Lai were also transferred to Jetstar Pacific Airlines. — VNS
