KIEN GIANG (Biz Hub) ─ The Rach Gia airport terminal in this Mekong Delta province is expected to resume operations on December 16 following its two-month shutdown for runway repairs.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam made this announcement in Document No. 4823/CHK-QLC, as posted on the government portal chinhphu.vn.
The authority urged the Airports Corporation of Viet Nam (ACV) to promptly complete the procedures for the reopening and requested the Viet Nam Air Traffic Management Corporation to issue an aviation statement regarding the matter.
The ACV began the repair work in October, at a cost of more than VND50 billion (US$2.38 million). The temporary shutdown began on October 15 following an order from the Ministry of Transport. ─ VNS
