SYDNEY (Biz Hub) — The West Australia - Vietnam Business Council (WAVBC) made its debut in Perth late last week. Its task is to provide information, support exchanges and promote business and investment between the two nations.

At the event, Vietnamese Consul General of West Australia Le Viet Duyen highlighted the significance of the council to the countries' growing partnership. The countries increased two-way trade by 227 per cent in the past two years and reached A$1.185 billion (US$921 million) last year.

Duyen expressed hope that the council would make marked contributions to the flourishing economic partnership.
