HA NOI (Biz Hub) —The General Department of Vietnam Customs has recently requested exporters of material gold with 999,9 alloy to acquire assessment certificate from the Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) to clear export procedures.
Exporters of material and jewelry gold with gold content of less than 999,9 must seek conclusions from organizations functional in gold assessment or ask for evaluation of the SJC.
According to the Customs Department, the new procedures are carried out to avoid tax losses. In the past time, some customs divisions based on assessment certificate of unauthorized organizations to clear export procedures, resulting in improper tax collections.— StoxPlus
