Food Ingredients exhibition (Fi Vietnam 2018) has returned to Viet Nam for a third year.

This year it has attracted more than 170 leading food and beverage ingredients manufacturers and distributors from 21 countries and territories, who are showcasing a wide range of new products and technologies.

Some 5,000 visitors are expected to visit the expo.

Rungphech Rose Chitanuwat, group brand director of UBM Asia, the organiser of Fi, said: “With an impressive 71 per cent growth over 2016, the event this year brings together leading ingredients companies from around the world including Brenntag, Connell Bros, Barentz, Benh Meyer, New Viet Diary, Matrix, Synthie, Morinaga, Eurovo, Roquette and many more.”

A new feature this year is the beverage ingredients pavilion where 50 products are on display, she said.

Visitors and exhibitors can hear presentations from leading exhibitors and experts in the food and beverage industry.

Another new feature is an area displaying spotlight product where visitors can see the latest products and applications that can transform products, and discover the latest industry trends that will help grow their business.

The products are in different categories like healthy ingredients, supplement ingredients and natural ingredients.

The event offers foreign and domestic companies a chance to find partners.

“Fi Vietnam is an event to promote trade,” said Ly Kim Chi, chairman of the HCM City Food and Foodstuff Association said.

“The exhibition helps promote the food industry’s development in Viet Nam and introduce products made in Viet Nam to ASEAN and international markets.”

The expo is being held at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7 from May 16 to 18. — VNS
