HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The FLC Group will invest in the 169-hectare Chan Hung Industrial Park (IP) in the northern Vinh Phuc Province's Vinh Tuong District.

Under the project approved by the province, the VND1-trillion (US$47.6 million) IP would attract environment-friendly sectors such as mechanical manufacturing, precision equipment, engine production and steel structures.

Located in an area which has modern and complete transport infrastructure, the IP is expected to provide favourable conditions for attracting investors.

The IP is located on National Highway 2, 54 kilometres from the capital and 30 kilometres from Noi Bai International Airport. It is also located near the Ha Noi-Lao Cai-China railway link that can be used to access key economic zones in the north, especially the Ha Noi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh economic triangle.

The IP is also near Vinh Thinh Bridge, the longest bridge spanning the Red River which could have a transport system connecting Ha Noi and the north-eastern region, including Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Tuyen Quang.

The FLC Group's representative said the project has completed a majority of the land clearance process and would invest in building infrastructure to attract investors.

The project is part of the IP development planning in Viet Nam for 2015 with orientation to 2020, approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

In March, the Vinh Phuc province allowed the FLC Group to invest VND2.3 trillion ($110 million) in B-area in Tam Duong II . — VNS
