DA NANG (Biz Hub) — The construction of the first cruise port and aquatic sport centre on the east bank of the Han River has begun in the central city.
The first stage investment for the project is VND203 billion, or US$9.6 million.
The project, which covers an area of 56,766 square metres, including an 85-metre long pier, a reception area, a tourism information service centre and a 2,000 square-metre dock for 108 cruises, will be made operational by 2015.
It will be the first cruise port in the central region of Viet Nam.
The Tien Sa port in the central city – the only cruise port – hosted 120,000 cruise tourists last year. — VNS
