The board of the American Chamber of Commerce Ha Noi has selected Michael Kelly as its new chairman for 2018.

He succeeds Citibank’s Natasha Ansell who held the post last year.

Kelly said he looks forward to working with AmCham members to further foster and deepen economic, social and business ties between Viet Nam and the US.

Kelly is the executive chairman, CEO, and general director of ACDL and the Ho Tram Project Company, which owns and operates The Grand Ho Tram Strip, the largest foreign invested tourism project in Viet Nam.

He has 30 years of experience in the hospitality/casino industry and has served as the CEO, COO and CFO of some of the largest hospitality companies in the US. He used to own and operate two integrated resorts in North America.

Ansell is the new vice chair along with Gaurav Sharma (BIDV-MetLife).

Founded in 1994, AmCham is a non-profit organisation whose primary mission is to increase trade and investment between the US and Viet Nam. — VNS
