HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The police and the market watch team in HCM City discovered tens of thousands of LED lights in the Quang Thien Dia Company in Tan Phu District on December 18.

There were no invoices or original documents of these lights.

The market watch team said that most of the lights were from China, adding that they had to employ 10 trucks to transport the seized cargo to the team's storage area.

According to vietnamplus.vn, the market watch officials could not contact the company director. They also checked the company's premises, located at No 49, Vuon Lai Road, which did not display the company's name at the gate.

Initial investigation showed that the lights were transported from the north to the southern region.

Further investigations are being conducted, the team said.

The HCM City's market watch department has been increasing its checking and surveillance to closely monitor the local market as the Lunar New Year festival approaches.

The team has seized in December 16,600 cigarette packages and tens of thousands of products such as clothes, food, mobile phones and toys, besides medicines, which were not accompanied by proper documents. — VNS
