HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — More than 54 leading Taiwanese brands are taking part in the 11th Sai Gon International Autotech and Accessories Show that opened in HCM City on Thursday.

Organised by Asia Trade Fair and Business Promotion and Chao Chao International Company Ltd, the exhibition not only offers a prime platform for exhibitors to do business but also the opportunity to understand the Vietnamese market.

It has attracted nearly 300 exhibitors who are displaying automotive parts, accessories and electronics; management and IT systems; oil and gas products; tools/dies and other machinery; vehicle products, and motorcycles.

The 54 Taiwanese companies have brought their latest products and are hoping for collaboration and development opportunities here.

Also at the show at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Conventional Centre from May 28 to May 31 will be nine associations from Taiwan.

Taiwan is home to a complete auto parts supply chain consisting mostly of small and medium-sized enterprises who have created a highly integrated and dynamic supply network.

The industry is characterised by its seamless co-operation between companies within supply chains that operate in a well-connected center-satellite system of factories.

This system, enhanced by a wide network of clusters scattered throughout the island, enables flexible production schedules, a diverse product range and low production costs.

There are currently 2,800 auto parts and accessories manufactures in Taiwan, with 300 of them providing original equipment.

Taiwan's auto parts industry continues to enjoy sustainable growth globally thanks to its expertise and focus on creating new products through synergies with other strong sectors in the territory.

The industry is also developing the relatively new field of telematics, taking advantage of Taiwan's highly developed electronics sector. — VNS
