HA NOI (Biz Hub) — For the first time in the last 52 months, the VN Index crossed the 600 mark, gaining 3.53 points to reach 600.36 in HCM City on March 17.
The HNX Index also edged up 1.87 points to close at 86.31 points in the capital city of Viet Nam.
The Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China gained 19.33 points to reach 2,023.67, while the Straits Times Index added 18.42 points to close at 3,092.1 points in Singapore.
However, the Nikkei 225 dropped 49.99 points to finish at 14,277.67, while the Topix Index slipped 9.77 points to close at 1,154.93 points in Tokyo. The Hang Seng Index also lost 65.54 points to end at 21,473.95 points in Hong Kong.— VNS
