Stocks fall in Asia, but rebound in Japan

HA NOI (Biz Hub) ─ Japanese shares rebounded significantly on Wednesday, while stocks mainly fell elsewhere in Asia.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange Tokyo Price Index added 10.95 points to rise to 1,249.15, and the Nikkei 225 gained 139.83 points to climb to 15,115.80.

In Viet Nam, the HCM City Stock Exchange VN-Index declined 2.22 points to 570.03, and the Ha Noi Stock Exchange HNX-Index slid 0.14 points to 76.85.

China's Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index lost 11.18 points to 2,055.52, and the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index dropped 21.87 points to 23,181.72.

Singapore's Straits Times Index edged up 3.37 points to 3,278.17. ─ VNS
