HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares managed to rise slightly on the HCM City Stock Exchange this morning.

The benchmark VN-Index added just 0.01 point to stand at 594.26 points.

The total value and volume of trade reached VND1.6 trillion (US$75.4 million) and nearly 94.3 million shares respectively.

The VN30 Index, comprising the bourse's 30 leading stocks in terms of capitalisation and liquidity, rose 0.04 per cent to end at 628.08 points, as the gainers outnumbered the losers by 11 to seven.

However, on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index finished at 89.64 points, losing 0.67 per cent.

Large-cap stocks also sent the HNX30 Index down by 0.66 per cent to close at 181.65 points.

With nearly 40 million shares changing hands, the transaction value was VND581.3 billion ($27.4 million). – VNS
