HA NOI – The stock markets bounced back this morning, but the investors were still hesitant, pushing the market volume and values down.

The VN-Index on the HCM Stock Exchange rose 0.75 per cent to touch 586.03 points, while on the Ha Noi bourse, the HNX-Index climbed 1.07 per cent to reach 86.60 points.

The blue chips led the gainers as both the VN30 and the HNX30 indices, which track performance of the top 30 shares by market value and liquidity on the two bourses, jumped.

The VN30 edged up 0.64 per cent to end at 662.19 points and the HNX30 increased by 1.41 per cent to close at 178.72 points.

The total market volume was more than 91 million shares, with a combined worth of VND1.33 trillion, or US$63 million, by the end of this morning.

The Tan Tao Investment Industry Corporation was again the most active stock nationwide, with 6.7 million shares changing hands at VND10,100 each.
