Stock indices continue to fall

HA NOI (Biz Hub)– Shares continues to lose ground on the nation's two stock exchanges during this morning's session.

On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index shed 0.38 per cent to 489.90 points. Trading value continued to decrease to VND474.5 billion (US$22.3 million).

About 22.9 million shares were traded. Among the 30 largest stocks in terms of capitalisation and liquidity on the bourse, only Kinh Do Confectionery (KDC) managed to advance.

Eight others closed unchanged from yesterday's session, while the rest of the codes finished in the red. The VN30 overall declined nearly 0.6 per cent to 541 points.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index fell another 0.44 per cent to 61.25 points. The HNX30, tracking the capital city's 30 leading stocks, also dropped 0.64 per cent to reach 114.34 points.

Trading value and volume on the bourse were VND108.5 billion ($5.1 million) and 14.75 million shares, respectively. – VNS
