HA NOI (Biz Hub) – The Saigon Securities Incorporation (SSI) announced it has sold all its corporate bonds worth VND500 billion (US$23.5 million), which were issued for the first time on January 19.

A SSI representative said the transactions took place in a single morning, faster than the company leaders' expectation.

Following the sale, 45 domestic and international organizations and individuals are now SSI bondholders, who bought the 1,000 two-year bonds at a par value of VND500 million ($23,500) each.

Named SSIBOND012015, the bonds are unsecured and inconvertible.

SSI said an interest will be paid once a year, at 8.2 per cent during the first year. During the second year, SSI will pay an interest at an average interest fixed for one-year deposits by four banks—Vietcombank, Vietinbank, BIDV and Agribank—plus 2.2 per cent per year.

By the end of 2014, the SSI brokerage was ranked at the top by the HCM City Stock Exchange with 12.53 per cent of the market. In Ha Noi, its brokerage was ranked second after the Sai Gon-Ha Noi Securities Company. — VNS
