SSI re-gains top spot on HoSE


SSI Securities Incorporated (SSI) has re-claimed its crown on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE), with the highest market share of stock and fund certificate broking among brokerage firms.

SSI Securities Incorporated (SSI) has re-claimed its crown on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE), with the highest market share of stock and fund certificate broking among brokerage firms.

SSI, which is the largest Vietnamese brokerage firm by market capitalisation, had a market share of 14.54 per cent in the first quarter of 2019.

SSI won back the market’s top position from Viet Capital Securities (VCSC), which ranked third in the last quarter with a market share of 10.05 per cent.

VCSC topped the southern market in the fourth quarter of 2018 with a 17.04 per cent market share.

The second and fourth positions were HCM City Securities Corp (HSC) and VNDirect Securities Corp (VNDS), which had a market share of 10.82 per cent and 7.75 per cent, respectively.

The top four held a total 43.16 per cent market share of stock and fund certificate broking in the first quarter of 2019.

Among the top 10 brokerage firms with the highest market share of stock and fund certificate broking, VPBank Securities Co (VPBS) and KIS Viet Nam Securities (KIS) had the lowest market share of 3.14 per cent and 3.11 per cent, respectively.

The two firms were also newbies in the top 10, replacing FPT Securities (FPTS) and BIDV Securities (BSC).

TCBS firm tops bond market

Techcombank Securities Co (TCBS) continued to have the highest market share on the bond broking market. The company had a market share of 88.59 per cent, outpacing the runner-up Vietcombank Securities Co (VSBC) with a 5.22 per cent market share.

The third and fourth positions were PetroVietnam Securities Inc (PSI) and Bao Viet Securities Co (BVSC), which had a market share of 2.98 per cent and 1.79 per cent, respectively. — VNS
