HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian markets, except for Singapore, ended lower on February 2.
The Nikkei 225 dropped by 116.35 points to close at 17,558.04, while the Topix Index slipped 6.32 points to close at 1,408.75 in Tokyo.
The Hang Seng Index declined 22.31 points to close at 24,484.74 in Hong Kong, and the Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China decreased by 82.06 points to close at 3,128.30 .The two bourses in Viet Nam ended lower on the same day. The VN Index lost 5.70 points to close at 570.37, while the HNX slipped 1.40 points to finish at 84.42.
As an exception, the Straits Times Index gained 32.15 points to end at 3,423.35 in Singapore.— VNS
