HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares continued to rise this morning. On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index added 0.74 per cent to reach 578.77 points.
The VN30 Index, tracking the 30 largest stocks in terms of capitalisation and liquidity, also advanced 1.44 per cent to close at 604.09 points. Only Da Nang Rubber (DRC) fell 0.8 per cent and PetroVietnam Drilling Services (PVD) lost 2.5 per cent. Of the 25 gainers, property developer FLC Group (FLC), steelmaker Hoa Phat (HPG), private equity group Masan (MSN) and Vinamilk (VNM) saw the fastest growth between 1.8 and 4.9 per cent.
The overall trading value and volume on the exchange reached VND638 billion ($30 million) and 38.7 million shares respectively.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index rose 0.8 per cent to finish the morning session at 85.52 points.
The HNX30 Index, representing the performance of the bourse's top 30 blue chips, increased by one per cent, reaching 163.20 points.
As investors traded about 15.5 million shares, the value of the transactions reached VND207.8 billion ($9.7 million). — VNS
