Shares rise on both bourses

HA NOI (Biz Hub)— There was welcome relief for Viet Nam's major indices this morning, as markets rose across the board.

On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index saw a late surge to gain 0.6 per cent in the closing minutes to reach 473 points.

The VN30, tracking the city's 30 leading shares, also managed to rise 0.79 per cent to 528.32 points.

Overall trading value increased slightly compared to yesterday morning, totalling nearly VND105.58 billion (US$5 million) on a volume of more than 5 million shares.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, shares also edged up with the benchmark HNX-Index climbed 0.28 per cent to 59.83 points.

Liquidity remained low however, with just 12.22 million shares changing hands at a value of VND78.67 billion ($3.7 million).VNS
