Shares rebound on blue chip recovery

Shares increased on Friday morning with both stock indices climbing some one per cent as large-cap stocks recovered.

On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index was up 1.1 per cent to close at 683.2 points.

Most of the large-cap stocks advanced this morning and lifted the southern market.

Gainers included lender BIDV (BID), Vinamilk (VNM), Vingroup (VIC), Vietcombank (VCB) and Bao Viet Holdings (BVH).

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index rose 0.9 per cent to 82.1 points.

Almost 83 million shares worth over VND1.7 trillion (US$75 million) were traded on the two markets.
