HA NOI (Bizhub) — Shares closed lower on both the national stock exchanges this morning.
On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index opened by losing 0.97 per cent to end at 556.59 points on the trading of more than 39.3 million shares, worth VND587.3 billion or US$27.9 million.

Of these stocks, only three codes managed to advance this morning, namely Vinamilk (VNM), the PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVT) and the PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution (PGD).
On the Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index closed 0.91 per cent lower to stand at 75.11 points, while the HNXFF-Index, comprising stocks with a minimum free float rate of 5 per cent, tumbled 1 per cent to end at 75.63 points.
The HNX30-Index, which tracks top stocks, ended 1.64 per cent lower to finish at 149.64 points.
With 27.6 million shares changing hands, the trading value reached VND249.9 billion or $11.9 million. — VNS
