HA NOI (Biz Hub)- Shares rallied 0.3 per cent on the HCM City Stock Exchange this morning as the benchmark VN-Index closed the morning session at 474.12 points.
The VN30, tracking the city's 30 largest stocks, retreated 0.26 per cent to 529.86 points although gainers outnumbered losers by 13-10. Steel company Hoa Phat (HPG) recorded the biggest lost sliding 2.3 per cent.
Trading was sluggish, totalling only VND225.9 billion (US$10.6 billion) on a volume of 12.16 million shares.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index fell 0.64 per cent to 60.80 points as most of the shares tumbled or closed unchanged.
The value of trades was unseasonably low, with only 5.8 million shares worth VND41.24 billion ($1.9 million) changing hands.
The HNX30, representing the northern bourse's leading shares, also dropped 0.9 per cent to reach 111.38 points. - VNS
