HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares lost on both the bourses this morning.
The VN-Index on HCM City Stock Exchange dropped 0.39 per cent to end at 552.52 points. However, liquidity was high, with the total value being VND1.2 trillion (US$57.14 million) on the exchange of more than 75.6 million shares.
The VN30-Index, tracking the southern city's 30 largest shares by capitalization and liquidity, lost 0.49 per cent to end at 625.82 points.
Losers overwhelmed gainers by 14-10 and included big names like Bao Viet (BVH), Hoa Phat (HPG) and Masan Group (MSN).
Kinh Do (KDC) was among the gainers, increasing VND4,000 ($0.19) per share to reach its ceiling price of VND64,000 ($3.04).
On the northern bourse, more than 38.6 million shares changed hands with a total value of VND359 billion ($17.09 million).
The HNX-Index lost 0.24 per cent to close at 74.87 points, while the HNXFF-Index lost 0.23 per cent to end at 74.17 points.
However, the HNX30-Index rose slightly by 0.07 per cent to reach 146.94 points.— VNS
