Shares gain on both bourses

HA NOI (Biz Hub)— Shares gained slightly on both exchanges during this morning session.

The benchmark VN-Index on the HCM City Stock Exchange gained 0.4 per cent to close at 499.19 points as gainers outnumbered losers by 88-69.

Trading value was driven up to VND945.6 billion (US$44.6 million) on a volume of 30.36 million shares.

Among the 30 leading blue chips, only seven retreated. They were Eximbank (EIB), Gemadept Logistic (GMD), Kinh Do Confectionery (KDC), food processor Bourbon Tay Ninh (SBT), Sacombank (STB), Vinamilk (VNM) and Vinh Son-Song Hinh Hydropower (VSH).

The VN30, tracking these stocks, also advanced by 0.2 per cent to 557.25 points.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index finished the session at 61.79 points, a 0.47 per cent rise compared to yesterday.

Trading value totalled VND112.56 billion ($5.3 million), as trading volume fetched nearly 12.3 million units.

The HNX30, composed of the bourse's top 30 shares in terms of capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.4 per cent to 115.23 points.— VNS
