HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian stock indices ended mixed on the final trading day of the week.

In Japan, the Tokyo Stock Exchange Tokyo Price Index increased 6.22 points to close on Friday at 1,234.97, and the Nikkei 225 gained 124.31 points to reach 15,097.84.

Viet Nam's benchmark VN-Index edged up 0.71 points to end at 574.48 on the HCM City market, and the HNX-Index rose by 0.39 point to reach 76.68 on the Ha Noi bourse.

In China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index added 19.00 points to end at 2,070.72, while the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index closed up 144.15 points at 23,319.17.

Stock indices ended the day with very little change in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, and were slightly down in Indonesia, New Zealand, Laos and the Philippines.

South Korea's KOSPI Index fell significantly 20.80 points to finish at 1,990.85. — VNS
