HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Stocks in Japan and Viet Nam ended higher on November 20, while those in other Asian markets lost value.

The Nikkei 225 added 12.11 points to finish at 17,300.86, but the Topix Index added 1.10 points to end the day at 1,397.64 in Tokyo.

The VN Index added 4.97 points to close at 593.32 in HCM City, and the HNX edged up 0.79 points to finish at 90.43 in the capital city.

Meanwhile, the Hang Seng Index lost 23.67 points to close the day at 23,349.64 in Hong Kong, while in China, the Shanghai Composite Index gained 1.67 points to stand at 2,452.66.

The Straits Times Index lost 18.96 points to finish at 3,315.60 in Singapore. — VNS
