HA NOI (Biz Hub)— Shares continued upward trend this morning, finishing higher on both national stock exchanges.

On the HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index gained 0.08 per cent to 500.17 points.

More than 45.54 million shares changed hands with a total value of VND509.6 billion (US$24.26 million).

The VN30-Index, composed of the city's largest shares by capitalisation and liquidity, advanced 0.48 per cent to 560.38 points with gainers outnumbering losers by 17-6.

On the southern bourse, overall, 120 codes incre ased while 69 codes tumbled.

On the Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index closed the morning session 0.13 per cent higher at 63 points, trading 29 million shares with a total value of VND196.92 billion ($9.37 million).

The HNX30-Index rose by 0.18 per cent to end at 118.3 points. – VNS
