Shares continue their downward spiral

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares tumbled for the ninth successive session on the HCM City Stock Exchange.

The VN-Index touched 597 points, sliding by nearly 1 per cent.

The value and volume of trading was VND2 trillion and more than 95 million shares respectively.

Blue chips tracked by the VN30 Index ended mixed, but the index overall lost 1.2 per cent to finish at 647.30 points. Property developer Vingroup (VIC) plunged to the floor price.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index lost 0.7 per cent to end at 87 points. The total turnover was VND702 billion.

All other indexes fell, including the HNX30 which slid 0.6 per cent to close at 178 points. — VNS
