HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares continued their upward trend this morning on both bourses.

On the HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index rose by 0.48 per cent to reach 586.49 points.

With gainers surpassing losers by 18-4, the VN30-Index, tracking the southern city's 30 largest shares by capitalisation and liquidity, edged up 0.51 per cent to reach 659.16 points.

With more than 100.9 million shares changing hands, the total value reached VND1.4 trillion (US$66.7 million).

Among blue chips, FPT Group (FPT), Gemardebt (GMD) and PetroVietnam Transportation (PVT) posted huge gains.

On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index advanced 0.7 per cent, while the HNXFF-Index ad?ed 0.48 per cent to end at 83.38 and 83.24 points respectively.

The HNX30-Index closed this morning at 166.97 points, increasing by 0.63 per cent.

The total trading value reached VND741 billion ($35.28 million) with the exchange of 78 million shares. — VNS
