HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Asian share markets ended up on Tuesday with Viet Nam the only exception. T he HNX Index fell 0.22 points to end at 61.22 in Ha Noi, while the VN Index in HCM City fell 1.73 points to close at 497.73.
Meanwhile, other Asian markets enjoyed a much brighter day. The benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP), gained 4.87 points to sit at 2,106.16, while the Hang Seng Index (HSI) climbed 269.85 points to close at 22,541.13 in Hong Kong. The Straits Times Index (STI) gained 11.88 points to finish on 3,244.1 in Singapore.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 (NKY) climbed by 347.57 points to end at 13,867.00 while the Topix Index (TPX) gained 22.53 points to reach 1,157.15.— VNS
