HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Asian shares closed up on Thursday. In Ha Noi, the HNX Index gained 0.13 points to close at 61.62, while the VN Index in HCM City added 0.58 points to finish on 492.43
In China, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) jumped 35.27 points to reach 2,029.07, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index (HSI) added 205.13 points to climb to 22,088.79. The Straits Times Index (STI) edged up 21.36 points to 3,243.3.
Investors in Japan also had a good day, with the Nikkei 225 (NKY) climbing 337.45 to end at 14,005.77, and the Topix Index (TPX) adding 31.69 points to close at 1,163.39. — VNS
