HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Asian stock markets made gains today, except in Viet Nam where the HNX Index declined 0.78 points to close at 59.67, while in HCM City, the VN Index lost 9.87 points to finish the day at 480.03.
In China, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) gained 72.52 points close at 2,212.52. The Hang Seng Index (HSI) climbed 129.43 points to close at 22,750.65 in Hong Kong, while in Singapore, the Straits Times Index (STI) jumped 31.73 points to finish on 3,080.08.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 (NKY) added 344.42 points 14,205.23 while the Topix Index (TPX) gained 25.18 points to end trading at 1,173.00.— VNS
