HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares advanced on both national stock exchanges this morning.

On the HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index gained 0.32 per cent to 520.58 points, as some 36 million shares were traded, with a total value of VND587 billion (US$27.95 million).

The VN30-Index, tracking the southern city's largest shares by capitalisation and liquidity, edged up 0.23 per cent to 577.47 points.

Gainers overwhelmed losers by 12-9.

Advancers included PetroVietnam Driling (PVD), PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution (PGD) and FPT Group (FPT).

On the Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index rose by 0.44 per cent to 71.08 points, while the HNXFF-Index advanced 0.27 per cent to 70.87 points.

With 28 million shares traded, total trading value reached VND239 billion ($11.3 million).

Additionally, the HNX30-Index jumped 0.9 per cent to 136.16 points. — VNS
